The bedrooms are ample and full with characters surrounded by 3 acres of secrete garden full with hidden charming pathways for kids to play and for adults to enjoy outside space. Moreover, you are minutes walk away from local pubs, restaurants, shops, wonderful walks, rivers, waterfalls, historical monuments saving you the hassle to get into a car, giving you all the spaces, entertainment and quality time you need on your family holiday.
There are wonderful walks from Middleham House, walk behind the castle over fields to the ‘black dub’ an ancient bathing pool on the river Cover, beautiful picnic places all along the river. A longer walk across the low moor past the gallops to Pen Hill the high point for miles.
If you feel like a drive, there are wonderful drives to dales villages including Coverham, Caldberg, West Scrafton, HorseHouse on to Kettlewel, Another West Witton, Aysgath, Bainbridge, Gayle on to Hawes.
However, we feel that you must visit the following places while staying at Middleham House; Middleham Castle, Bolton Castle, Aysgath Falls, The Butter Tubs, Fountains Abbey, Gervaux Abbey, and The hidden corner. The latter is very popular with children.
For a long stay, a day trip to Whitby and Staines on the sea spectular drive over the North Yorkshire Moors could return via Sutton Bank.
We want you to feel home and the magical experience this house brings our family and friends over the years but at the same time all the flexibility there is so that you can concentrate on the quality time with your family and friends. We can provide you as much or as little services as you want. From food delivery, onsite catering, private cook, private car or taxis pick up, babysitting, housekeeping services, or massage at the house, etc. You can arrange these services through us or yourselves. If you wish to organise this yourselves we can assist by providing you with a list of most reliable professionals that you can choose from.
