There is a variety of local pubs and restaurants just minutes walk or drive from Middleham House,  serving excellent food, be it a leisure lunch or a formal dinner. Please see bellow some of the choices. However over the name of the restaurant to obtain additional information and booking details.

 

Short walking distance from the house:

• The White Swan, brasserie offers freshly prepared meals

• The Black Swan, local pub and restaurant serves a la cart meals.

• The Richard III, traditional restaurant provides local Yorkshire cooking.

• The Black Bull, local pub offers homemade traditional pub food.

• The Castle Keep, traditional tea room serves home made snacks and meals.

 

Further afield (few minutes drive away):

• The Blue Lion, serves freshly prepared food using local ingredients set in Romantic environment.

• The Wensleydale Heifer, serves sophisticated seafood based meals in a relaxed atmosphere.

• The Queen’s Head, prepares traditional food based around local seasonal ingredients.

• The Sandpiper Inn, offers modern British food, fine wine and ales.

• Vennell’s restaurant, provides modern British food, seasonally changing menus.

• The White Bear, offers seasonal dishes in charming atmosphere.

Leaflets of these restaurants are available at the house on your arrival. We are more than happy to provide you with insights on the restuarant choices based on our personal experience.

 

Private Cook or Catering service:

Alternatively, we can put you in touch with one of our caterers to come and cook you an amazing meal at the house. Caterers and private cooks are required to be booked well in advance and we can not guarantee availability. Middleham House guests get special rates and enjoy discount between 5-10% of total bill.

Lunch: Our caterers also deliver cooked or packed lunch to your preferred location, whether you are walking, cycling, fishing, or shooting, our caterers can deliver lunch to your favorite spots allowing you to eat while enjoying the scenery and leaving you more time to do what you enjoy most on holiday.
